Grievance Redressal Committee for faculty/staff members


A Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) for faculty/staff members has been constituted by CT Institute of Law as per the F.No. 1-103/AICTE/GRC/Regulation/2021 of the All-India Council for Technical Education, notification dated March 22, 2021. The committee aims to provide opportunities for redressal of certain grievances of faculty/staff members and a mechanism thereto.

Functions of the Grievance Redressal Committee

    checklist To accept written grievances from students and staff related to the system.
    checklist To create and implement a mechanism to handle the reported grievances.
    checklist To forward the findings to the Management if necessary for further action.
    checklist To listen, record and scrutinize the grievances submitted to them by the Staff and Students and take necessary steps immediately.
    checklist To attend to the grievances based on the authenticity and gravity of the criticisms made.
    checklist To represent the grievances to the concerned section which may include maintenance, transport, academic, amenities etc.
    checklist To convene periodical meetings to discuss whether the grievances have been settled.
    checklist To make a follow-up of these matters at regular intervals till their final disposal.
    checklist To maintain strict confidentiality, if necessary.

This committee has been formed as per the guidelines of AICTE and UGC about grievances and redressal mechanism. The committee shall look into the matters like:

    checklist It shall look into the matters related to the student and the staff including maintenance, transport, academic, amenities etc.
    checklist Admission according to the merit determined in accordance with the admission policy of the CTIL.
    checklist Scholarships as per the merit and government scholarship policy (PMS).
    checklist Ensure zero irregularity in the process under the declared admission policy of the institution.
    checklist To look into the grievance related to any gender, community, caste or religion.
    checklist To help overcome cultural barriers.
    checklist To help overcome language barriers and ensure better chances of placement.
    checklist To build congenial environment for holistic education.
    checklist To look into the issues related to students grievances.
